Managing Director

Nathan Daly has been engaged in private and alternative capital markets for the past 12 years, and thus has a specialised understanding of Australia's financial landscape. He has worked in structured finance facilities ranging from small companies to publicly listed corporations, and has driven a wide range of securitised investment vehicles as both originator and as principal investor. Well-known and respected in the field, Nathan carries with him a strong network of sophisticated investors who have the flexibility to participate in transactions with tricky timing and technical constraints, giving Acumen Finance a significant advantage over larger, less agile institutions.

Nathan's transaction portfolio is testament to his abilities and industry contacts; he arranged and settled a $33,000,000 loan within 4 days of having the transaction presented to him.

Chief Operating Officer & General Counsel

Mark Badger is a senior lawyer with 16 years experience in banking and investment businesses. He has regulatory and transactional experience in commodities, Ecommerce, principal finance, structured products, asset sales, debt and equity. He has successfully led large diverse teams of legal professionals & non-legal infrastructure teams supporting a variety of highly competitive business lines, geographies, cutting-edge markets, and fast-paced environments. Mark has a proven ability to analyse and support businesses' commercial needs, whilst identifying possible legal, governance and reputation issues. This comes from hands-on experience in working with regulators, strategic planning, business unit development, project and product management, staff enhancement and the ability to execute agreed strategic objectives. Most recent position held was Global Head of Legal, Wholesale Banking at Standard Chartered. Other positions held include legal counsel at JP Morgan Chase, Sydney and Clifford Chance, Hong Kong.

Head of South East Asia

Beng Chye Low has been in the financial industry for over 35 years. He brings with him a wealth of experience ranging from consumer to commercial banking and International trade which covers a wide spectrum of industries i.e. plantations, electronics, property development, steel manufacturing, wholesaling, oil and gas. Beng Chye's in-depth knowledge of the financial landscape in Asia and strong network within the region provides a better understanding of the business requirements, opportunities for the business communities to interact and to structure value added financial solutions.

Beng Chye has served in several financial institutions and was the ' Purchaser's Representative' approved by Bank Negara Malaysia ( Central Bank of Malaysia) in the takeover of Hock Hua Bank (Sabah) Malaysia.

One of his forte is in team building and during his tenure as Head of National Sales in Hong Leong Bank (Malaysia) he was instrumental in the building of a formidable sales team of 800 and growing the franchise to 186 branches. He was later appointed Head of SME Banking and was tasked to drive the SME business nationwide. He was also the Regional Head of Northern Region when attached to United Overseas Bank in Malaysia.

Besides working in Asia, Beng Chye has also extensive work experience in Africa and Eastern Europe.

General Manager

Marc Nuss with over 20 years of business experience in the commercial and property arena. He has a wide range of business experience covering a variety of industries ie telecommunications, agricultural, commercial property, property development, legal and leisure. His management skill set includes but is not limited to project inception, planning, feasibility, budgeting, business planning ,delivery and operational setup.

Associate Director - CPA, MAICD, JP(Qual)

Justin Ericson is a qualified accountant with specialisation in tax, corporate recovery, asset protection and finance. Justin has sound industry knowledge spanning property, rural enterprise, international business, charity law, indigenous corporations and corporate structuring. Justin is a key advisor to many companies and government departments both locally and internationally. He has board seats on several SME's and land trusts globally. His proven experience also encompasses business turnaround, succession planning, corporate risk management, structuring of joint ventures and syndicated deal platforms.
